Parents and students: Each year students begin the journey of learning String Instruments (Violin, Viola, Cello, and Double Bass) at Johnson Middle School. It is quite difficult at first. It is not always beautiful at the beginning. When your child develops the discipline of listening and practicing everyday, the change will be magnificent. Students will also create friendships that will last through Middle School and beyond. My hope is that your child will come to love music and have it for a life time. The journey will include hard work and a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to the new adventure next school year. Sincerely, Mr. Paxton, Band Dir.
