Thank you for your interest in joining the Liberty Public Schools Band Program. We are so excited for you to join us and become a member of the LPS Band Family. Your band directors are Marti Whelan-DMS, Mark Fangmann-LMS, Kelsee Gardner-SVMS, Michael Dragen-HMS, Eddie Owen & Brittany True-LHS, and Shane Fuller & Justin Doss-LNHS. The LPS beginning band consists of 5 instruments for 6th grade. Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, French Horn and Percussion. Mallets are considered a part of Percussion. After 6th grade, the directors will work with your students to determine if they would be a good candidate to move to any of the full band instruments (including saxophone, oboe, bassoon, or tuba).
