The Buchholz Band Program is nationally-recognized as one of the finest and most comprehensive high school band programs in the nation. Although marching band requires a time commitment and attendance at all events is mandatory, you will have time to participate and still get good grades. You can even do marching band and other BHS activities! Buchholz bands consistently earn Superior ratings at the district and state levels, having received the Otto J. Kraushaar Award, Florida's highest honor, for the last 20 consecutive years (1999-2018) for a perfect record of straight Superior ratings at all Florida marching and concert assessments throughout an entire year
