What is Band?
Message from the directors:
We are the former GRACE Band. We are no longer under the wing of GRACE Co-op, but we still love having students from there! We meet on Tuesdays for about an hour and have both fall and spring concerts. Our top two performing groups, Advanced and Honor Bands, will compete in the springtime with Pride of Texas Music Festival. Our students are in 5th - 12th grades, most with no prior musical experience. When your kiddo(s) makes their first sound on their chosen instrument, they will sound scary! As progress happens, you will notice massive improvement. Music works that way! We are having fun, learning a beautiful art form, developing lifetime success skills, and figuring out how to bless others by sharing this amazing gift from God. Welcome to this wonderful musical journey!
Students who participate in music have the lowest levels of current and lifelong use of alcohol, tobacco, and illicit drugs among any group in our society.
