Message from the director:

Parents, this year your child has the opportunity to play a musical instrument in the Phillips Middle School Band program. Over half our school participates in a music course each year and it all begins in 6th grade. No prior experience is required. Besides performing, studying and creating music, students develop life skills that they can carry with them throughout their lives. 6th grade is the ONLY time we start new band students. During registration, be sure to include BAND as one of your top 3 elective choices. I hope to see you in our band this Fall!

Students who participate in music have the lowest levels of current and lifelong use of alcohol, tobacco, and illicit drugs among any group in our society.
