What is Band?

Message from the director:

Do you want to learn how to play a brass or woodwind instrument? Are you hoping to learn percussion? Then come join Band! Beginning Band is a year-long performance class where you will learn how to play an instrument of your choice! Through a diverse selection of songs, you will learn how to play with proper technique as well as gain the knowledge of how to read music. You will also have the opportunity to play your instrument in an ensemble with your peers for each performance!

Students who participate in music have the lowest levels of current and lifelong use of alcohol, tobacco, and illicit drugs among any group in our society.
