Message from the director:
Has your child ever wanted to learn how to play a band instrument, which are instruments from the woodwinds, brass, or percussion families? Well, here is their opportunity to START NOW! In South Washington County, all fifth grade students have the opportunity to sign up to be a part of their school’s band program, and we encourage them to start band in fifth grade, since It is expected that students have participated in fifth grade band when they join sixth grade band. Learning a band instrument is a skill that allows students to express themselves through music, helps students grow through learning the concepts of practice, responsibility and self-discipline, and is a great place to meet friends by making music together.
